A DAY AT CAMP
Every day at DogGoneCrazy Camp is different - there's rarely a "typical" day! We try to keep our daily routine as structured as possible in order to create a comforting atmosphere for our campers. Here's what you can expect on any given day at DogGoneCrazy Camp:
9-10am: Morning medications are prepared and ready for administration pre-or post-feeding, then breakfast is served, followed by a short rest period. Campers who are leaving this afternoon will be given their baths at this time. 10:30am-noon: All dogs are let outside in playgroups for some fun in the sun, and our camp counselors take some luckier campers out for their "nature hikes". Other counselors scrub, clean and disinfect all cabins, do laundry and spend time cuddling with our feline campers, while our baker whips up a batch or two of homemade goodies for the bakery. We'll take many of our website pictures between 10:30 and 12pm. Also, since noon is check-out time at DogGoneCrazy, some of our canine campers will be preparing to go home right about now. Hint for prospective campers: this is a good time to visit DogGoneCrazy's facilities for a tour! noon-2pm: Our counselors take lunch breaks in shifts. Older campers get some quiet nap time in their cabins, while more energetic pups take in more fresh air outside under the watchful supervision of their counselors.
3-4pm: While our playgroups take turns outside, we begin to prepare afternoon medications and set up for dinner. Campers scheduled to go home the following morning will be given an afternoon bath now. Hint for prospective campers: this is a good time to visit DogGoneCrazy's facilities for a tour! 4-5pm: Dinnertime! Every dog is fed and given fresh water, afternoon medications as prescribed and let outside for a bathroom break before settling into his or her cabin for the evening. It's been a long day of fun, and we're ready to snooze until tomorrow! |
