BEFORE YOUR PET'S STAY AT DOGGONECRAZY...
  1. We suggest that you consult with both us and your veterinarian prior to boarding to assure everyone that the pet is in good health and that the inherent stress of boarding would not prove to be overwhelming for you and your pet. For the safety of your pet and others, we require your pet's vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPPC and Bordetella for dogs, Rabies and FVRCP for cats) to be current prior to your check-in date. If you're unsure about which vaccinations your pet needs in order to stay with us, please read our frequently asked questions.
  2. When you decide that boarding is for you, give us a call so we can give you a tour of DogGoneCrazy. We'll answer all your questions and show you where your pet will be staying while with us, and you'll have a chance to see how we take care of our campers. Please remember, however, that we can only allow you to view the facilities if you call ahead. Kennels MUST have a structured daily routine to accomplish their services. Work with us to blend your requests into our capabilities. For a description of our daily routine please visit our page A Day At Camp. You can reserve on-line here, or call us at 530-546-2484 to make and confirm your reservation.
  3. Decide which items to bring to make your pet's stay more comfortable. We encourage people to bring their pet's food and treats (for dietary stability), as well as one toy, a special bed or a blanket - whichever one item that your pet is especially attached to. Please call us if you're unsure what to bring or not to bring.
  4. When you arrive to check in, make sure you have your dog on a leash or your cat in a carrier! Most dogs don't like to be picked up by strangers on the first visit, and there are usually other dogs going in and out, so you will avoid problems if you bring your pet into the kennel leashed or in a carrier.
  5. During check-in, give the Camp Counselor as much information as possible about your pet's temperament and routine, along with past health problems and any medication that he/she might be on.
  6. When saying goodbye, reassure him or her that everything is all right, with a pat on the head, and tell your pet that you will be back soon. Your pet is going on vacation - make the moment an upbeat and positive experience!
  7. Please check our policies and hours. These should be respected if you wish to continue a good relationship.
